The Regular Meeting of the McHenry City Council was called to counc9 order by Mayor Stanek on Monday, January 3, 1983 at 8:00 P.M. At roll Meeti4 call the following aldermen were present: Pepping, Nolan, Busse, Datz, Wieser, Smith, Serritella, Meurer. Absent: None. Other city staff present were Supt. Halvensleben, Clerk Gilpin, Chief Pasenelli, Park Director Merkel. Attendance) Absent: Attorney Naursis. Motion by Serritella, seconded by Busse, to accept the minutes of the December 20, 1982 Regular Meeting as presented. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Busse, Datz, Wieser, Smith, Muerer, Serritella. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Motion by Nolan, seconded by Busse, to pass a resolution schedul- Resolution ing the Regular 1983 Council Meetings. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Busse, Datz, Wieser, Smith, Serritella, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. l James Wright of the Harmony Snowmobilers Club presented a check for Donations Police Dept. $50 to Mayor Stanek as a contribution for the purchase of bullet-proof vests for the Police Department. Mayor Stanek expressed thanks to the club on behalf of the Council and the citizens of McHenry. PP Retarded Motion by Serritella, seconded by Meurer, to authorize Attorney Narusis to submit a petition to the City of McHenry Zoning Board of Appeals requesting the board to consider and recommend possible revision of the Zoning Ordinance as it pertains to intermittent and flashing lighted signs. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Busse, Datz, Wieser, Smith, Serritella, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Mayor Stanek presented a request from A & A Oil Company for a liquor license to sell packaged beer and wine at a newly established Quick Food Mart located at the Millstream Union 76 Gas Station at 3702 W. Elm Street. It was decided to hold the request in abeyance until opera- tions of the Quick Food Mart was established and proven. Motion by Smith, seconded by Wieser, to grant the request of Donald Gerstad, President of Residential Development Group and postpone for one year the payment of $2,500 interest payment due December 1982 on its $25,000 Developer Donation contribution. The postponed interest will be added to the original donation thereby making the December 1983 payment 10 percent of $27,500.00. Authoriza- tions Zoning Liquor Licenses Developer Donations Monday, January 3, 1983 Page 2 Motion by Nolan, seconded by Busse, to concur with Residential Fox Ridge Development Group's attorney and pass a resolution holding RDG harmless Park from any claims and liabilities growing out of the use of RDG's property for City of McHenry playground use and to add Residential Development Group and McHenry State Bank as Trustee of Trust 1112 as additional insured on the City of McHenry's liability insurance policy. Voting Aye: Pepping, Nolan, Busse, Datz, Wieser, Smith, Serritella, Meurer. Voting Nay: None. Absent: None. Motion carried. Authoriza- Motion by Datz, seconded by Meurer, to authorize and approve tions the payment of $250.00 to Herbert L. Harrison for an appraisal of land Chicago & for a proposed parking lot at the Chicago Northwestern Railroad depot.
