Board of Police Commissioners
August 7, 2024
Police Chairman Sue Meyer called the meeting to order at 2:00 pm in the Police Administration
Conference Room with the following Commissioner present Stephen Doherty. Also present was Chief
John Birk, Deputy Chief Thomas Walsh and Administrative Assistant Deb Shuett. Absent Police
Commissioner John Jones.
Public Comment
None.
1. Motion to Approve June 5, 2024 Meeting Report
Motion by Police Chairman Sue Meyer to approve meeting minutes. Police Commissioner
Stephen Doherty and second by Police Chairman Sue Meyer to approve the minutes from the
June 5, 2024, meeting. Police Commission meeting as presented. All ayes, motion carried.
2. Unfinished Business
Christopher Cummings is in his final two weeks of Field Training. Doing well. Released to solo
patrol soon.
Michael Rodriguez and Jake Busse will graduate from the Academy on Friday, August 9th.
Sergeant test coming up. Officers that signed up have their study guides. Test will be scheduled in
October. Next oral interviews.
3. New Business
Officer Jeremy Hollander and Officer Thomas Jager leave for the academy on Sunday August
18th.
4. Communications
The following bill(s) were presented for approval:

Adjournment
Motion by Police Chairman Sue Meyer to adjourn meeting. Police Chairman Sue Meyer and
second by Police Commissioner Stephen Doherty to adjourn the meeting at 2:15 pm. All ayes,
motion carried.
