Meeting

Call to Order: Thomas Hillier
Roll Call: Beth Staley, Katie McDonald, Zelinda Paluch, Celeste Heidemann, Jeff
Varda visitor
Welcomed Cody Sheriff, City Planner to attend our meetings.
Approve minutes: Zelinda Paluch and Celeste Heidemann
Public Comments: Jeff Varda stated he would assist in the discussion of the
Landmark structures and the application process. Cody Sheriff discussed the
Historic Preservation Chapter 22 that was passed from 1994-2009 and
discussed the details of what is needed for the application process. We will
continue the discussion at the next meeting.
Finance Report: $5,500 Tom Hillier reported
Media: Mr. Don Wattles will be contacted to be involved in the video.
Historic Plaques: Beth Staley reported progress on the plaques. Brass plaques
coming from Adams Memorial.
Beth Staley will be working on the display case at the City Hall entrance.
Old Business:
School Field Trip: District 156 Planned for April 2025
Discussion to be held at Petersen Farm
Landmark School Remembrance Talk: February/ March
Ignite & Other Trips: Zelinda Paluch, Celeste Heidemann are arranging trips to
the Courtyard for the next program informing the patients of what the Landmark
Commission represents
New Business:
We will be meeting Thursday August 29th Band Concert in Veterans Park
displaying the Landmark Commission's progress.
