Board of Police Commissioners
June 5, 2024
Police Chairman Sue Meyer called the meeting to order at 2:00 pm in the Police Administration
Conference Room with the following Commissioner present Stephen Doherty. Also present was Chief
John Birk and Administrative Assistant Deb Shuett. Absent Police Commissioner John Jones and Deputy
Chief Thomas Walsh
Public Comment
None.
1. Motion to Approve May 1, 2024 Meeting Report
Motion by Police Chairman Sue Meyer to approve meeting minutes. Police Commissioner
Stephen Doherty and second by Police Chairman Sue Meyer to approve the minutes from the
May 1, 2024, meeting. Police Commission meeting as presented. All ayes, motion carried.
2. Unfinished Business
Christopher Cummings is in the Field Training program and doing well.
Justin McCauley resigned on May 8, 2024.
Michael Rodriguez and Jake Busse are in the academy, both are doing well. Graduation set for
August 9th.
Sergeant test coming up. Written exam is scheduled for some time in October. Oral interviews
either end of October or early November.

Adjournment
Motion by Police Chairman Sue Meyer to adjourn meeting. Police Commissioner Stephen
Doherty and second by Police Chairman Sue Meyer to adjourn the meeting at 2:15 pm. All ayes,
motion carried.
