!; WHEREAS, the traffic and parking conditions in the City of McHenry, j
� Illinois� have become intensified in the past year due to increased popula- !
' tion and increased use of street facilities by owners of automotive vehicles;
� and

� WF�REAS, it is necessary and desirable to regulate the flaw of said �
� trsffic and the parking of automotive vehicles Within the corporate limits of i
;�''� the City of McHenry,

�;McHenry, County of McHenry, State of Illinois; that �

�; Section 11. AN ORDINANCE RELATING Td TRAFFIC AND REGUI,ATING '
�'� THE USE QF PUBLIC STREFTS IN THE CITY OF McHENRY, MeHENRY COUNTY, ILLIN�IS �
PRESCRIBING REGULATIQNS RELATIVE TO THE PARKING OF VEHICLES UPON SUCH STftEETS; '
; PRQVIDING FOR PURCHASE, LEASING, ACQUIRING, INSTALLATI�N, OPER.ATION, MAINTENANCE,
s: SUPERVISION, RFGULATION AND CONTROL OF THE USE OF PARKING AqFTERS AND PROVIDING
;� F�R THE PAYMENT THEREQF: DEFINING AND PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHFIEIdT OF
'I�ARKING METER ZONES UPON THE PUBLIC STREETS AND FOR AN ENFORCEMENT TI�REOF AND
` PRQVIDING PENALTIE,S FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF; which ordinance was passed,
;; approved and published as provided by law on the 18th of September, 1950, shall �
;� be amended as follows: �

'` (d) Ariy other facts, or knowleage of which is necessary to a ;
jithorough understanding of the circumstances attending such violation. '
�; ,
;; Each such police officer shall also attach to such vehicle a
ifnotice to the owner or operator thereof that such vehicle has been parked
'' in violation of a provision of this ordinance and instructing such owner or
! operator to report to the Office of City Clerk of the City of McHenry, in
;;regard to such violation. Each such owner or operator, may within 2�. hours
�' of the time when such notice was attached to such vehicle pay to the Office ;
', of City Clerk, of the City of McHenry, Illinois, as a penalty for and in full
�' ;' satisfaction of such violation� the sum of twenty-five cents ('�.25). The '
failure of such owner or operator to make such payment within said 2I� hours,
shall render such owner or opera.tor sub3ect to the penalties hereinafter '
' provided, for the violation of the provisions of this ordinance. j

This amendment shall be in full force and effect from and after its ;
; passage, approval arbd publication, as provided by la�. All ordinances or '
i',parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are ;`
''hereby repeal�d. �/
