Ordinance amending Article 3 pertaining to "R-1" residence
� district regulations under the zoning ordinance of the City of

� y�FiEREAS , it has come to the attention of the City Gouncil
; of the City of McHenry that certain regulations and restrictions
�
under Article 3 of the zoning ordinance of the City of McHenry
� `
; r�qui re an explanati on, a�d ;

; �iERE�S, recommendations concerning such classification an
'; explanationshave been given the City Council by the Zoning Board �
i
f of Appeals of the City of McHenry.

NOW, THEREFORE , be it ordained by the City Council of the
�' City of bqcHenry, b7cHenry County, Illinois that Article 3 of the
��
ji Zoning Ordinance of the City of McHenry be art�ended and excepted as �
�i
i!. fO11OWS :
' An unattached accessory building may be erected at a dis-
;�; �
�; tance of not less than three feet from the rear lot line or side
� i�
� lot line provided that such accessory unattached building shall
E
'' be located at the rear yard of such lot, the rear yard line being
i that portion of the lot lying behind the main building . Accessor
,
� unat,tached buildings on corner lots shall be regulated by the pro-
�
�',�� vision of this ordinance concerning building lines on such lots . !
iAttached accessory buildings shall be considered as a partj
i !
�; of the main buildin� as defined herein, except that , if the attac��
��
�; accessory building lies wholly within the rear yard , as defined �
!
� above , it shall be permitted that such attaehed accessory building �
''!� may be erected not less than three feet from the side or rear lot �
lines"
