BE IT ORDAINID by the City Council of the City of McHenry, ��icIienry
County, Illinois, as follows, to-witz
SIJCTIOP3 I. That Section 125, Article !�� Chapter 8, of the Tdunici.pal Code
of the City of I�TcHenry be, and the same is hereby amended �o that said Section
125 shall read as follows, to-wit:
"Central �tandard Time shall be the ofiicial time within the City
for the transaction of a11 business, except that at two o'clock
A. M. on the last Sunday of April in eac� year officisl time for
the City sha11 be advanced one hour, and t��o o'cloek A. P�2. on the
� last Sunday of aeptember shall be retarded one hour returnin� to
standard time; and all legal or off'icial proceedings of the City
shall be re�ulated thereby.M
'�All clocks and other timepieces in or upon public buildings or
other premises r�aintained at the exnense of the City shall be set
and run according to the official time provided in this section,
and it is hereby made the duty of the Chief of Folice to see that the
said clocks and other timepieces are set and run in accordance with
the official time as provided in this section.
wAll persons residing within the city and all persons and corpora-
tions doin�; business within the city are hereby requested to set �nd
run any and all clocks or other timepieces und.er their control within -
the cit�r in accordance with the official time as provided in this
section."
S�CTION II. .�11 ordinar_ces heretofore passed in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed. The inv�lidity of any part of this Ordinance shall not
` affect sueh parts of this Ordinance as shall be otherwise valid.
�ECTION III. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its passa�e
and approval.
