fastened, and shall be suspended over the sidewalk. at a height

Section 2. No sign shall project over any sidewalk, path,
or parkway in the Uity of I;IcHenry for a greater distance than six
(6) feet from the lot line of the propert; on which said sign is
erected, under penalty of not less than five (�'p5.00) Dollars,
nor more than twenty -.-Live (V2o. 00) Dollars, a.nu a like penalty
for eery day that such offence shall be continued after �lotii i-
cat ior* . toremove said signboard or sign.
;section 3. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or
corporation to erect any billboard, signboard, post or sign of
any description in any park -way in the Cite of -7.cnenry or in any
manner so that any sign or banner shall suspend over any street
in said Uity, unless a permit to erect such sign be issued by
the I,layor of the City of IvAchenry, under penalty of not less than
five (V-b.00) Dollars, for each and every offence, and a life
penalty for every day that such offence shall be continued after
notification to remove same.
Section 1. It shall be unlawful. for any person, firm or
corporation to erect any billf"oa-rd in the City of-11oHenry, un;Jess
a per.'-dt to erect such billboard is issued by the Mayor and City
Council of the C-ty of I._cHenry at_ a regular meeting of the City
Council, and in no event shall any such billboard or signboard
be placecl so as to obstruct the light of adjoining property or
to interfere with the view of traffic. Any -person violating the
provisions of this section shall be subject to a ��enalty of not
less than five (•,�b.00) -Dollars nor more than ti.enty-five (?2b.00)
Dollgxs, or each and every offer_,-e, and a like penalty for every
day such offence shall be continued after notification to remove
such sign.
Section 5. It shall be unlawful to place any goose, portable
sign or other sho4Tj or billboard on. any of the streets or A dewal-1a
of said City. l�lo clothirn�, goods, wares or merchandise, sij5r�s,
'coxes; or -Y)oles shall be placed on or above any sidewalk or of her
place in said Uity unless when so -,,-;laced it shall be at least

lot. Any person violating the provisions of this section shall
be subl�ect to a penalty of not less than five (W-0.00) 7-Dollars

to a line penalty for every day he or she may continue such
violation.
