�a Ordinance entitled the opening of streets in the
Citg of IdcHenry, �ounty of McI�enry and State of Illinois, along
Route 20, Illinois State Roads .
�--� Section l. Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of
MeHenry, County of �tcHenry and State of Illinois , that the said
City proceed, at oncn, to open and establish a street or streets that
are nPcessary for the 5tate Route Number 20 according to the plans and
snPcifications of the �tate of IZlinois that are noW on file �ith the
De�artment of Highways of said State, said Route ATumber `�0 beginnin�
at the Easterly cor�orate limits on EZm Street, extending westerly
along Elm street to the end thereof ; thence continning in a westerly
direction and across �he mill �ond to a ccnnection with Waukegan Road
�ust West of Front �treet; thence in a westerly direction along
�aukegan Road to the wPsterly corx�orate limita of said City,
Section 2. That this said Citq buy rights of way that are necessary
in or.ening said �tate Road Number Twenty and paq reasonab7_e damages
� incurred by ^roperty owners because of the o�ening of said road and
that to nrovide fun�:s for the nayment of the rights of way and damages ,
as aforesaid , said City borrow the �um of Ten thousand dollars
(�10000.00) and issue bonds for this amount in the denomination of
�1000.00 with interest at the ratP of five per cent (5�) per annum,
payable semi—annually, said bonds to become due from 1926 to 1936 in—
clusive; that in making said bond isst�e nrovision also be made to
levy a direct annual tax to nay the princi}�al and interest on said
bond��s ..theq� bPcome ^�abl� or due.
Section 3. That the City Attorney of said City fs hereby directed
to draw an ordinance rroviding for the isauing of said bonds and the
coli ^ct�on of the tax to bay for the same and interest thereon.
