AN ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRE-
SIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUS-
TEES OF THE VILLAGE OF Mc -
.HENRY, STATE OF ILLINOIS:
Section 1, That the building com-
monly known • as the Power House
shall be remodeled, enlarged, and re-
constructed in such manner as to place
it in a proper condition as the City
Hall, Jail and Power House of the
Village of McHenry.
Section 2, The principal changes in .
)said buildirg shall be a new Terra
Cotta front, an eighteen foot addition
and a sideentrance in the rear part of
the building, and also such further
and additional change or improvement
as is shown in the plans and speciflea-
tions now on file with the Village
Section 3, The contract for such im-

provements shall be let to the lowest
responsible bidder who shall deposit
j with his bid a certified check for . the
minimum sum often per cent of the
amount of his bid.
Section 4, Be it further ordained
that after the passage and taking ef-
fect of this ordinance, the Clerk of the
Village is authorized to advertise for
and receive bids, for the period of ten
days, to cover the cost of the necessary
work and material according to the
plans and specifications filed with him.
Section 5, That this ordinance shall
be in force and effect ten days after
its passage, approval and publication
according to law.
