Board of Police Commissioners
May 1, 2024
Police Chairman Sue Meyer called the meeting to order at 2:00 pm in the Police Administration
Conference Room with the following Commissioners present John Jones and Stephen Doherty. Also
present was Deputy Chief Tom Walsh and Administrative Assistant Deb Shuett. Absent Chief John Birk
Public Comment
None.
1. Motion to Approve April 3, 2024 Meeting Report
Motion by Police Chairman Sue Meyer to approve meeting minutes. Police Commissioner John
Jones and second by Police Commissioner Stephen Doherty to approve the minutes from the
April 3 2024, meeting. Police Commission meeting as presented. All ayes, motion carried.
2. Unfinished Business
Christopher Cummings graduated Thursday from PTI. Currently in the shadow phase week. Will
start step 1 of the Field Training next week.
Steven Barjaktarevic just completed his Field Training and is now on solo patrol. Justin
McCauley is still in training.
3. New Business
Sergeant test coming up later this year. Post application process in July, written test early
October, then interviews late October, early November and have the list posted in November.
4. Communications
The following bill(s) were presented for approval:

Adjournment
Motion by Police Chairman Sue Meyer to adjourn meeting. Police Commissioner Stephen
Doherty and second by Police Commissioner John Jones to adjourn the meeting at 2:10 pm. All
ayes, motion carried.
