Resolution Determining the Amount of Funds to be levied for the
2006 T� Year through real estate taxes
For the City of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois
W�REAS, the City of McHenry has historically levied t�es for the purpose of conducting City
business for its residents and local businesses; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined the requested levy amount is an incre�se of fifteen percent (15°!0)
over the ZOOS levy amount; and
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City of McHenry to exceed the �005 tax extension by more than
105% with t�e levy request; and
W�EREAS, a Public Hearing as required by the Truth in Taxation Act of 1981 will be held on
December 4, 2006; and
WHEREAS, notice shall be published in the Northwest Herald between 1�lovember 20, 2006 and
November 27, 2006, notifying the general public of the Public Hearing.
NOW, THERE�ORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of McHenry,
McI-�enry Caunty, Illinois, that it has been determined the amount of taxes to be levied by the City of McHenry,
exclusive of the election costs, shall be $4,252,913.
