AN ORD.INANCE AMENDING THE FY2023/2024 BUDGET FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR ENDING APRIL 30, 2024
WHER��AS, the City of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois, is a home rule
municipality as contemplated under Article VII, Section 6, of the Constitution of the State of
Illinois, and the passage of this Ordinance constitutes an exercise of the City's home rule powers
and functions as granted in the Constitution of the State of Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry acting by and through its Mayor and City Council has
previously approved the FY22/23 Annual Budget for the Fiscal Year Ending April 30, 202,4 by a
motion at the Regular City Council Meeting held on April 17, 2023; and
WHER'�EAS, it is necessary and appropriate to delete, add to, or otherwise change certain
line items in sazd Budget Ordinance as provided in E�iibit A to this Ordinance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of
McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois, as follows:
SECTION 1: That the amendments to the Budget Ordinance for the Fiscal Year Ending
April 30, 2024 ,�re hereby approved in the form and content as provided by E�ibit "A" which is
attached hereto and made part hereof.
SECTI�)N 2: If any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, sentence or provision of this
Ordinance shall be adjudged by any Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such judgment
shall not affect, impair, invalidate or nullify the remainder thereof, which remainder shall remain
and continue in full force and effect.
SECTI�N 3: All ordinances, or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: This ordinance shall be published in pamphlet form by and under the
authority of the corporate authorities of the City of McHenry, Illinois.
SECTION 5: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication, as provided by law.
