PARK COMMITTEE MEETING
Tuesday, August 23, 1988

Conference Room
MEMBERS PRESENT: Aldermen Patterson, Nolan, Lieder and McClatchey.
MEMBERS ABSENT: None.
OTHERS PRESENT: Mayor Busse, Alderman Teta, Park Director Merkel , Don and
Roger Gerstad, Developers.
PURPOSE OF MEETING: Park and Recreation Related Items.
-FIRST MATTER DISCUSSED: Developer donation for Winding Creek Unit 5.
DECISION OR RECOMMENDATION: A five (5) acre land donation. Site determined
by Parks and Recreation Director, Mayor and City Council . Fifty percent
(50%) of developer donation fees to be paid at time of building permit
application and at rate in effect at time of application.
-SECOND MATTER DISCUSSED; Purchase of Play Equipment for Fox Ridge Park.
DECISION OR RECOMMENDATION: Purchase playground equipment from Miracle
Recreation Co. Price quotations as attached.
-THIRD MATTER DISCUSSED: Donation of Play Equipment from McHenry Kiwanis
Club.
DECISION OR RECOMMENDATION: Accept donation of $5,900 for play equipment to
be installed at Kiwanis Tot Lot.
