JANUARY 14, 1987 7:00 P.M. CONFERENCE ROOM
The meeti ng was cal l ed to order at 7:05 P.M. In attendance were
Alderman Bolger, Alderman Smith and Alderman Lieder. Committee member
absent were A1 derman Serritel l a.
A1 sc i n attendance were Mayor Busse, City Cl erk Gil pi n, Chief Joyce,
A1 derman Teta and A1 derman Nol an.
The purpose of the meeti ng was to di scuss al l eviati ng the crowded
conditions at City Hal l . Chai rman Bol ger opened the meeti ng by stati ng
he fel t the most economical way of furni shi ng more space i s to enl arge
the present building by adding on to the west side of the huilding with
the thought i n mi rd of extend i ng a wi ng to the west over "parcel A"

John Zabor estimates the initial addition could be built for less
than $125,Q0�. In answer to a question often asked by Alderman Smith
"How much do we have to spend?" Bol ger stated he would feel comfortabl e
with $20�,000 and felt we could go as high as $400,000 if necessary.
Mayor Busse said he felt we could go higher than that if absol utely
necessary.
In answer to questions of input from department heads and long range
pl anni ng, Chai rman Bol ger said i nput was recei ved from department heads
and the 2nd phase addition would care for many years in the future.
