Farm Report
Michelle Petersen left a grain scale at the farm.
City is trying to find someone to fix the fence in front of the house.
High school students met at the farm and helped remove doors from the house.
Finance Report
No money has been spent yet in this fiscal year,after some spending the Commission
will be receiving a monthly report.
A check will be made out to pay for grad students working on Landmark School’s
recognition.Motion made by Jeff Varda to send Grad Student $60 and was seconded by
Zalinda Paluch.
List of checks for experts speaking for film was provided.
Media
1.Video Update –DVD
Dates for filming were given to the commission.
Focus of the movie will be agriculture,and other topics can be covered next year.
Historic Plaques
1.Possible Vendor
A possible vendor has been found,hope to have an update next month.
Committee Reports
1.Thursday Night Concerts
Concerts have been going well so far,the Historical Society has been bringing a tent.
Old Business
1.Loyola students
Students have finished their report on Landmark School and have submitted it for
review.
New Business
1.Review Historic Plaque Revisions From 2008
Commission went over plaque revisions,members will talk with other communities to
see how their programs are working or not.
Overall goal is to get people more interested in having their property plaqued.
2.Garden at the Farm
Nothing this year.
3.Ceremony for Stone at the Farm
Should add to another event.
4.Intern Thank You’s
The commission signed a card thanking the intern for her work.
5.Display Case At City Hall -Relics?
Commission looked at relics,agreed they should be on display.
