Dave Miller:
McHenry needs more unique or independent small businesses.
Bob Novak:
McHenry needs a lot more parking. Open Venice Court to allow access to municipal parking lot and
easier access for people who want to turn left onto Elm Street
Keep Miller's Point open for concessions,public restrooms, rest areas and/or green space.
A lot of businesses are having a hard time staying open - Most new businesses only last about six
months.
The Downtown Business Association has seen many businesses come and go.Too much service-oriented
business is moving into the retail area which hurts existing retail businesses trying to make a go of it.
Rose Lille�ard:
�- The exhibits poor communication with the downtown businesses.The City does not communicate with a
business under any circumstances,to let them know what is happening, being proposed,etc.
Unless the City understands retail business, the City cannot help small businesses. If the City seeks
business person's input, the City should at least provide the courtesy of a response to the comments
given.City management attitude stinks.
