Youth League, Ted Dinkelman, President of Lakeland Park Little League, Jim Craft, Lakeland Park Little League and Dave Herda, City of McHenry � Employee Meeting was called to order at 7:40 pm. 1) Introductions Introductions of all those in attendance and the organizations that they represented were made to start the meeting. 2) Dicc-��ccion of Athletic Fields for 1996 - Existing Facilities - New Facilities - Changes for 1996 Director Merkel gave a brief presentation on the status of athletic fields for the 1996 season. Baseball/Softball - additional ballfieid mix was added to field in the fall at Petersen and Knox Park. Drainage improvemenu are scheduled at Petersen Park this spring. Two new fields will be available at West Campus for use this summer. Soccer - Knox Park soccer field will be closed for further turf improvements this spring. Most of the discussion � centered on schE�duling, maintenance and equipment issues. RecommendatioJ� The committee recommended the following actions: 1) League play for youth baseball/softball can start play on city facilities the weekend of May 1 1-12, 1996. 2) Landscape tools and ballfield material will be stocked in the Petersen Park storage building. Balifield mix will be stockpiled at Petersen Park and Lakeland Park. 3) Staff should investigate the installation of larger water service in Petersen Park for balifield maintenance. 4) Director Merkel will meet with the presidents of the McHenry Boys Baseball and the Giris Pigtail League to coordinate schedules at Petersen Park. Meeting is tentatively scheduled for Monday, March 4th. 5) Knox Park soccer field will be closed in Spring/Summer 1996 for turf renovation. Game scheduled for Knox Park will be moved to Whispering Oaks Park. Meeting adjourned at 9:30 pm. \athmunin � ��
