Other Business
Director Public Works Marcinko stated he received a written request from Cooney Heights resident Bill
Houck, 4307 Ponca Street. Mr. Houck requested permission to place a metal culvert and fill in his
drainage ditch. Mr. Houck has tried various remedies to alleviate drainage problems. Thus far he has had
no success.
In response to an inquiry, Director Mazcinko noted there is a possibility filling in the ditch could
negatively impact drainage in the area. Baxter and Woodman is in the process of compiling a drainage
study of engineering in this neighborhood. Until this is complete, it is difficult to be certain there would
be a negative impact by Mr. Houck's filling in the ditch. This shoulod be completed and a determination
can be made within the next two weeks.
