Aldermen's Conference Room, 6:30 p.m.
`-- In Attendance: Committee Members: Chairman Alderman Wimmer, Alderman
Murgatroyd, Alderman Glab. Absent: None. Also in Attendance: Mayor Low, City
Administrator Maxeiner, Director of Public Works Marcinko, Assistant Director of Public
Works Fink and City Clerk Jones.
Chairman Alderman Wimmer called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m.
Mayor Low arrived at 6:38 p.m.
Discussion Re�arding Advance Auto—Borden Street
Director of Public Works Marcinko informed the Committee that as part of the Advance Auto
development on Borden Street the City has requested the developer re-construct Borden Street
across the frontage of the property. The developer has agreed to the reconstruction, but has
asked the City to consider a cost-share for the expenses.
Staff has obtained the attached cost estimate from the developer for the reconstruction of Borden
Street. Staff has reviewed the submittal and recommends approval of the City's portion of the
cost share with Advance Auto in an amount not to exceed $19,450. Director Marcinko informed
the Committee that, should the Committee recommend Council approval, the City's share of the
Borden Street reconstruction would be funded through Motor Fuel Tax reserves.
Responding to Alderman Murgatroyd's inquiry, Director Marcinko apologized for not
�. submitting the request in a timely fashion. He stated he was waiting for figures from the
developer prior to submission.
Motion by Murgatroyd, seconded by Glab, to recommend to Council a 50/50 cost-share with
Advance Auto for the expense of Borden Street Reconstruction, in an amount not-to-exceed
$19,450, with the City's portion to be paid through Motor Fuel Tax Reserve Fund.

D�scussion—Lincoln Hills Subdivision Stop Si�n Location
Assistant Director of Public Works Fink informed the Committee that typically, once a portion
of the roadway system within a development is complete the developer submits a request to
install stop signs to ensure the safety of the residents. The roadways for the Lincoln Hills
Subdivision have been installed, however, to date, the developer has not submitted a request to
install any regulatory signs within the development.
Assistant Director of Public Works Fink noted the roadways in the Lincoln Hills subdivision also
serve the Liberty Trails subdivision.
Staff is recommending an amendment to the City's Tr�c Control Ordinance for the installation
,� of stop signs at the intersections of the Lincoln Hills Subdivision.
Motion by Glab, seconded by Murgatroyd, to recommend to Council the approval of the
installation of stop signs at the intersections of the Lincoln Hills Subdivision, as presented.

Discussion—Le�end Lake Neighborhood No 2. Stou Sign Location
Assistant Direc:tor Fink informed the Committee that as stated previously, the roadways within
the Legend Lakes Neighborhood No. 2 have been installed, however, no regulatory signs have
been posted. Staff indicated their primary concern is with the access from Legend Drive onto
Dartmoor Drive, and is recommending a stop sign at that intersection.
Motion by Glab, seconded by Murgatroyd, to recommend to Council the approval of the
installation of a stop sign at the intersection of the Legend Drive at Dartmoor Drive, in the
Legend Lakes Neighborhood No. 2.

New Business
Alderman Glab noted he has seen a number of semi trucks on Crystal Lake Road of late.
He suggested a traffc analysis be performed on Crystal Lake Road. Director Marcinko stated he
� would discuss the matter with Police Chief O'Meara.
