Re: Metra Service in McHenry
Gentlemen:
The purpose of this letter is to inform you that the McHenry Economic Development
Commission not only supports the continuation of commuter rail service in the City of
McHenry but strongly supports an expanded Metra service schedule for the community.
The city and region are facing increasing transportation challenges on a daily basis. If
`-- left unaddressed, these challenges will have long term consequences for the community.
Complex regional and local transportation problems require multi-faceted solutions. The
McHenry Economic Development Commission firmly believes that an increase in
Metra's service is a vital component in addressing the transportation needs of the City of
McHenry for both today and the future.
