Schaefer and Alderman Peterson. Absent: None.
Also in Attendatice: City Administrator Maxeiner, Assistant City Administrator Martin, Director
of Finance Shields and City Clerk Jones.
Chairman Alderman Murgatroyd called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Fiscal Year 2Q06/2007 Budget-Continued
City Administrator Maxeiner continued answerin� questions initiated at the Finance and
Personnel Committee meeting held on April 5, 2006 regarding fees charged to the City by
District 15 for use of their facilities.
Alderman Peterson asked for clarification regarding several items addressed at the last meeting
of April 5, 2006. He stated he is still struggling to arrive at fund balances in some of the funds
prior to finalizing the budget.
City Administrator Maxeiner explained the Risk Mana�ement Fund and the Information
Technology Fund. A lengthy discussion ensued.
An additional employee was proposed for the IT Department, utilizing the retirement of Sgt.
Molnar from the Police Department as a sworn officer. It was suggested that he be hired as an IT
� operator for the Police Department following his retirement.
Finance Director Fields outlined the Water/Sewer Fund. Discussion ensued.
City Administrator Maxeiner informed the Committee that final numbers for the budget should
be finalized by April 17, 2006.
Alderman Schaefer opined he would be more comfortable with another Finance and Personnel
Committee meeting to peruse the final numbers.
It was the consensus of the Committee to schedule a Finance and Personnel Committee meeting
on Monday, April 17, 2006 at 6:30 p.m. to review the final numbers for the 2006/2007 Budget.
