Aldermen's Conference Room, 6:30 p.m.
�— In Attendance: Committee Members: Chairman Alderman Murgatroyd, Alderman
Schaefer and Alderman Peterson. Absent: None.
A1so in Attendance: Mayor Low, Alderman Santi, City Administrator Maxeiner, Assistant City
Administrator Martin, Director of Finance Shields and City Clerk Jones.
Chairman Alderman Murgatroyd called the meeting to order at 6:38 p.m.
Fiscal Year 2006/2007 Bud et- Continued
City Administrator Maxeiner stated Staff is seeking the Committee's comfort level regarding
recommendation of approval of the City's 2006/2007 Budget.
In response to an inquiry, City Administrator M�einer stated it was likely that the City would be
unable to apply for home rule in 2006.
Alderman Schaefer stated he continues to have concerns regarding future improvements and
funding issues.
Chairman Alderman Murgatroyd stated he has concerns about IT issues on a long-term basis. He
is uncomfortable about creating a position for a person, stating he considers it a short-term fix.
Alderman Peterson suggested that outsourcing be considered rather than hiring additional.
�, employees to fill positions. Additionally, he opined he would like to see user fees increased.
City Administrator Maxeiner stated user fees will be considered this year by Staff.
Motion by Schaefer, seconded by Peterson, to recommend to Council the Fiscal Year
2006/2007 Budget be approved as presented.

Absent: None.
Motion carried.
