Ai 1 `" In attendance were committee members Bolger, Smith and LiederClTY OF McHENRY Als in attendance were Fred Batt, Gary Gough and Mayor Busse. lst matter discussed was the objection filed by Ron Schaefer being billed fr water/sewer charges that his tenant at 1214 N. Park Street failed t pay. It was the committee's decision that the present ordinance requires the landlord to be responsible for delinquent water/sewer charges and that Ron SchaAfer's request to have the responsibility waived was denied. 2nd matter discussed was the matter brought to our attention by Fred Batt for the Council to review the need to loop water mains and possibly provide for a new well and storage facility. It was the opinion of the committee that perhaps we should consider dividing some of the engineering load, now provided by Baxter & Woodman, with another engineering firm. Mayor Busse was asked to discuss the water needs enineering with Smith Engineering. 3rd matter discussed was the advantage of the Water Dept. having a small back hoe for use in very close quarters. Gary and Fred will get a cost estimate on a small back hoe. The Water Dept. did not request a back hoe but did request a line stop machine. In the near future there will be a local demonstration of the line stop machine. 4th matter discussed was a request by Ron Bykowski to extend the sewer main to serve the home he moved to on Third Street behind Sullivans Food Store. The committee did not feel we should extend the sewer line to the Bykowski property. In a later discussion with Ron Bykowski he said he merely wanted the sewer main extended across Third Street and he would take it from there. s 7 w s rvbn7n f n ZS }•w • _ 'V s od, _ . v s NvQ bW MO,I W .\ f' .
