PURPOSE: General Discussion of Department and its Operational
Procedures
ITEMS DISCUSSED:
1) Chain of Command
2) Authority of each employee; who can issue permits and make
certain bulding decisions?
3) List of items requiring a permit and its cost.
4) List of requirements for various perraits.
5) Which permits require inspection, and at what intervals?;
also, time limit for inspections.
6) What information is required on an application?
Applications are all indentical, but information may vary.
7) What codes do we go by, and how can applicant obtain this
information, especially in the case of a violation?
8) Time it takes for a permit to be issued; also, time limit
on different types of permits. Have some time limit when
possible.
9) How to handle people who do work without a permit - also,
time limit for violation.
10) What can a citizen do in or at his home without a permit?
11) Professional help - when, where, who, etc.
NO DECISIONS WERE MADE. INFORMATION WILL GO TO COUNCIL AND
STAFF FOR ACTION.
