THE CITY OF MCHENRY LANDMARK COMMISSION

FAX: (815)363-2119 The regular meeting of the Landmark Commission was brought to order
Public Works, at 7:20 p.m. at the McHenry Municipal Center by Vice-Chairman Larry
Building and Zoning Huck. Members present were: Carol Jean Smith, Lori Wilhelm,
(815)363-2170 Donnabelle Glosson, Marya Dixon, Tom Bolger, and Adele Froehlich.
FAX:(815)363-2173 Absent were: Barb Byron, Ruth Fenwick, and Debbie Lane. Our new
Parks and member Nancy Fike was introduced.
Recreation
(815)363-2160 Our guest was Leeann Fike from the McHenry High School . She is
Police working on a class paper and must attend a City meeting.

There were no minutes from the October 4th meeting due to not having
City Clerk a quorum. There was no meeting held.

Treasurer PLAQUING PROGRAM
Lillian Cairns We will vote to plaque The Church of God on John Street at the
Aldermen December 5th meeting. The majority of our Commission members
haven't had the opportunity to view the church. The members who
William Bolger haven't seen the church will meet on November 12th at 10:00 a.m. at
the church.
WARD 2
Terencew. Locke MISCELLANEOUS
WARD3 A letter was received from Mr. John Lobaito, Director of Building
Gregory C.Bates and Zoning, about two demolition permits from Prime Commercial .
WARD4 They are seeking demolition for the homes at 1103 & 1119 S. Route
David T. Lawson 31 . Larry Huck (Acting Chairman) sent a letter to Mr. Lobaito
WARDS giving permission to Prime Commercial to issue the permits. Carol
William V.Baird Jean and Donnabelle viewed the homes. The homes were of the post
war construction and therefore do not have any historical value to
the City.
Carol Jean will write a letter to Pam Althoff asking about getting a
new member to replace one of our student members. Nancy Fike will
ask at the school to see if a student would be interested in being
on the Commission. We would like to have an architect on the
Commission. Tom Bolger will ask Mr. Bill Ewald if he would be
