to order at 7:35 p.m. at the McHenry Municipal Center. Members
present were: Barb Byron, Marya Dixon, Adele Froehlich, Carl
Fredrickson, Larry Huck, Carol Jean Smith, and Tom Bolger. Reverend
Phyllis Mueller, Donnabelle Doherty, and Lori Wilhelm were absent.
MINUTES
Correction to the December 2, 1993 meeting -- Larry Huck was present.
PLAQUE PROGRAM
Carol Jean and Barb will represent the Landmark Commission at the
historical meeting in Woodstock on January 19th. Carol Jean is
working on a new form for the plaque criteria which will be ready
for approval at the February meeting.
FINANCIAL REPORT
Carl will go over the Finanical Report and will have a better idea
of the financial status at the next meeting. Carol Jean purchased
slide trays for the slide presentation and will submit the bill at
the next meeting.
PROGRAMS
Carol Jean thought the slide presentation will be some time in
April . We would like to charge at least $2.00 per person for this
program. We hope to have good attendance so we can raise money for
our other programs.
MISCELLANEOUS
Adele spoke to Dorothy Uttich about the plaguing of the Library.
Dorothy was to speak to the head of the Library Board and get back
to the Commission. Since Adele hadn't heard from anyone at this
time, it was decided to send a formal letter from the Commission to
the Library Board. Barb Byron will compose a letter by the weekend
for Carl 's approval and it will be mailed immediately. Adele will
write a story about our Facade Grant Program for the April edition
of the City Newsletter and for the Herald.

GUEST
Barb Gilpin (City Clerk) was present. She asked us for enlargements
of old photos of McHenry to display in the hallway of the Municipal
Center. Pictures should be 16" X 20". Barb asked if Lori could
look at the pictures in the hallway now and give her input on the
color of the mats for framing of the pictures. The pictures will be
changed every few months. It was advised to let Lori inscribe the
pictures and describe where they are so that everyone who stops to
look at them will be informed. The City's building maintenance man
will be in charge of putting them up. Barb informed us the vehicle
stickers for 1994-1995 will be the Riverside Hotel .
WORKSHOP
It was decided to start the meetings 15 minutes earlier and stay a
little later to get some of the projects done.
Motion by Adele, seconded by Barb, to adjourn at 8:40 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Marya Dixon
Secretary
