February 6 , 1990
The regular meeting of the McHenry Landmark Commission was
called to order at 7 : 30 on Tuesday, Feb. 6 , 1990 . Members
present were : Hank Nell , Marya Dixon, Loir Wilhelm, Adele
Froelich, Jessie Freund, Donna Belle Doherty, Marlene Goetschel ,
Don Porter, Jan Ringer , David Mohan and Nancy Fike. Members
missing included: Tom Hopkins and Frank Gans .
Minutes of the last meeting were approved following a motion
from Jan Ringer and second by Hank Nell . There was no financial
report . On a motion by Don Porter and second by Adele Froelich,
the regular business portion of the meeting was postponed.
Motion carried.
Chairman Nancy Fike introduced guest speaker, Nancy Baker ,
Vice President of the McHenry County Historical Society, who
then gave an hour slide-lecture presentation on the "Development
of the Pistakee Bay Area, 1875-1930" to the Commission and
guests . About 50 people attended the program.
The meeting ended at 9 : 30 P.M.
