3 July 1989
The regular monthly meeting of the City of McHenry Landmark Commission
was called to order at 7 : 30 P.M. Members in attendance were: Nancy
Fike, Dick Rabbitt, Marya Dixon, Lori Wilhelm, Mary Lou Schaeffer,
Adele Froelich, Jesse Freund, Frank Gans , Donna Belle Doherty, and
Kristin Parneali , Marlene Goetschel .
The Commision discussed contacting District 15 Board of Education to
encourage them to apply for a plaque for Landmark School .
Nancy spoke on the possibility of Spring Grove forming a landmark
commission.
The Landmark Commission will again have a booth at Fiesta Days Art in
the Park on Saturday, July 22 . Tom Hopkins will secure the space
assignment. Commission members were assigned times to man the booth,
set-up and take-down. Lori Wilhelm will have posters and applications
for spaces at the Heritage Tour and Farmers Market.
Additional prizes are still needed for the Heritage Tour Raffle.
Additional suggestions will be made at next months meeting.
The Landmark Commission will meet next Tuesday, July 11 , at Christophers
Mens Wear, 7 : 00 P.M. for a tour prior to voting on the previously
submitted plaque application at next months meeting.
