April 17, 1989
The regular meeting of the City of McHenry Landmark Commission was. called
to order at 7:02 P.M. Members. in attendance were; Nancy Fike, Hank Nell,
Mara Weber Dixon. Lori Wilhelm. Mary Lou Schaeffer, Adele Froelich, Frank Gans,
Jesse Freund, Donna Belle Doherty. Absent: Dick t;abbitt, Tom Hopkins,
Kristin Parneali.
The opening discussion held by Mary Lou Schaeffer was about the homes that were
on the list for the Heritage Tour in September.. Lori Wilhelm then showed a layout
of the grounds of Landmark School showing the various sections, booths, quilts,
ect. The cost of each booth was to be $25.00. Various, civic groups are: to be
asked to participate, boy scouts, girl scouts, glglg garage sale groups, ect.
Mayor Busse spoke to the group about the plans for City Hall. He offered the use•
of City services in any way to make the Heritage Tour successful.
New member Mary Lou Coetschal was; introduced. There was; no reply from Lon Smith
in regards to letter sent to him by the Commission.
The public will be notified via flyers• that they will be invited to the June
meeting of the Landmark Commission.
