Board of Police Commissioners
May 7, 2014
Chairman Rick Huber called the meeting to order at 4:00 PM in the City of McHenry Aldermen’s
Conference Room. Other Commissioners in attendance: Mike Roberts, Ramon Gregorio. Others present:
Chief of Police John Jones, Commander Tom Walsh, and Executive Assistant Marci Geraghty.

None.
Consideration of April 2, 2014 Minutes
Motion by Mr. Roberts, seconded by Mr. Gregorio to approve the minutes from the April 2, 2014 Police
Commission meeting as amended.
Voting Aye: Roberts, Gregorio, Huber
Voting Nay: None
Absent: None
Motion carried.
Unfinished Business
a) Update: SRO Program. Chief Jones reported the School Resource Officer position is posted
internally. Interviews will be conducted at the end of the month.
b) IFPCA Training. Chairman Huber reported on his attendance at the Illinois Fire & Police
Commission Association Spring Conference in Decatur, IL. Chairman Huber stated the training
was educational and beneficial and he will email information he obtained at the seminar to the
commissioners. The next training will be held this fall in Naperville, IL.
New Business
a) Annual Election of Chairman and Secretary.
Mr. Roberts made a motion, seconded by Mr. Gregorio to appoint Commissioner Huber as
Chairman of the Board of Police Commissioners for the City of McHenry.

Voting Nay: None
Absent: None

Mr. Roberts made a motion, seconded by Chairman Huber to appoint Commissioner Gregorio as
Secretary of the Board of Police Commissioners for the City of McHenry.
Voting Aye: Roberts, Huber, Gregorio
Voting Nay: None
Absent: None
Motion carried.
Communications
a) Bills for Approval. IFPCA Registration Fee for Chairman Huber $375
Homewood Suites Lodging for Chairman Huber $140.61
Mr. Gregorio made a motion, seconded by Mr. Roberts to approve payment of bills as presented.
Voting Aye: Gregorio, Roberts, Huber
Voting Nay: None
Absent: None
Motion carried.
Adjournment
There being no further business to discuss, Mr. Gregorio made a motion, seconded by Mr. Roberts to
adjourn the meeting.

Motion carried.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:25 PM.
Next meeting of the Police Commission is June 4, 2014.
