Board of Police Commissioners
March 6, 2013
Commissioner Roberts called the meeting to order at 4:00 PM in the City of McHenry Aldermen’s
Conference Room. Also in attendance was Commissioner Gregorio. Absent: Chairman Haley. Others
present, Chief of Police John Jones, Deputy Chief John Birk, and Executive Assistant Marci Geraghty.
Public Input:
None.
Consideration of February 6, 2013 Minutes
Motion by Mr. Gregorio, seconded by Mr. Roberts to approve the minutes from the February 6, 2013
Police Commission meeting as presented.
Voting Aye: Gregorio, Roberts
Voting Nay: None
Absent: Haley
Motion carried.
Update on New Patrol Officers
Chief Jones stated there is nothing new to report.
Update on Promotion Process
The promotion process has been completed and there is nothing new to report.
Bills for Approval
None.
Other Business
A question was posed as to the date the current patrol officer list expires. Deputy Chief Birk said
it expires in August 2014.
Commissioner Roberts asked for an update on the possibility of reinstituting the School Resource
Officer program. Chief Jones said the SRO program is a budgetary matter and will be included in
FY 14/15 discussions.
Adjournment
There being no further business to discuss, Mr. Roberts made a motion, seconded by Mr. Gregorio to
adjourn the meeting.

Voting Nay: None
Absent: Haley
Motion carried.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:30 PM.
