Personnel:
On December 3rd, Officer O’Herron will come off probation. Officer Krueger’s probation has
been extended for 3 months, while working through some deficiencies. Will have more
information in January after looking through the paperwork. He has some deficiencies with
handling calls and responding to calls and getting paperwork completed on time. Working
through all these issues.
3. New Business
Applicant Lopez has passed his psychological exam, passed his polygraph exam. Now in the
process of giving him a conditional job offer with an estimated start date of January 4th, provided
he passes his physical examination. Should hear whether he accepts the conditional job offer.
The Police Commission is conducting interview later today. If applicant moves through the
process, looking to hire a second person if a viable candidate is found.

Right now there are 3 vacant positions with Sgt. Eric Sexton retiring, now will be 4 positions
down. Still don’t know if Officer Krueger’s will make it through extension of probation. Long
term injury of Sgt. Lumber, may be hiring up to 6 people this calendar year. Academy slots have
been reserved. Going to start the background checks on the first two candidates on the list that
are still interested. The first candidate is still available.
2
Sgt. Sexton submitted his retirement notice effective December 13th. He is going to start with
Glenview Police Department on December 14th. Officer Pat Polidori will be promoted to
Sergeant. Would normally have the new Sergeant swearing in in front of the City Council, but
due to COVID will be a small ceremony. Will recognize the promotion in the future in front of
the City Council. Will have a new Public Affairs Officer in the future. For Sgt. Sexton
retirements not having cake and coffee also due to COVID, will have small ceremony in the
squad room with the midnight shift. Might have a second Sergeant promotion this year, if Sgt.
Lumber decides to retire after he has been healed from surgery.
In negotiations with Prairie Grove Police Department to take over their jurisdiction. Then will be
hiring the 3 vacant positons. Should hear something later this month.
