Board of Police Commissioners
October 4, 2018
Chairman Rick Huber called the meeting to order at 4:00 PM in the Police Administration Conference
Room with the following Commissioner present, Michael Roberts and Ramon Gregorio. Also present was
Chief John Birk, Deputy Chief Tom Walsh, HR Manager Ann Campanella and Administrative
Assistant Debbie Shuett.
Public Comment
None.
1. Motion to Approve September 5, 2018 Meeting Report
Motion by Gregorio, second by Roberts to approve the minutes from the September 5, 2018
Police Commission meeting as presented. All ayes, motion carried.
2. Unfinished Business
Luis Pena is doing very well and will be released to solo patrol as of Thursday October 4th.
3. New Business
Megan Carey has left for the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy as of 9/17/2018.
The Sergeant Promotional Exams took place on September 26th. Need to set up Oral Interviews
for Sergeant Promotional Exam. Have set dates of October 23rd between 4:00 pm and 6:30 pm
and October 25th between 4:00 pm and 4:30 pm. Have dedicated time slots of 30 minutes per
interview.
4. Communications
The following bill(s) were presented for approval:

5. Adjournment
Motion by Chairman Huber, second by Gregorio to adjourn the meeting at 4:15 PM. All ayes,
motion carried.
