September 4, 2019
Chairman Rick Huber called the meeting to order at 8:00 AM in the Police Administration Conference
Room with the following Commissioner present, John Jones, Mike Roberts. Also present was Chief John
Birk, Deputy Chief Tom Walsh and Administrative Assistant Debbie Shuett.
Public Comment
None.
1. Motion to Approve June 5, 2019 Meeting Report
Motion by Chairman Huber, second by Roberts to approve the minutes from the August 7, 2019
Police Commission meeting as presented. All ayes, motion carried.
2. Unfinished Business
Personnel – Physical for Police Lateral Candidate Sue Ellis scheduled for Friday. If everything
goes well, should be hired 2 week later. Other Lateral Candidate Rydell from Rockford went
elsewhere.
Reviewing Police Lateral Candidate Henri Krueger – works for Lake County College for past 7
years. Would like to schedule interview Tuesday at 8:00 am if all Police Commissioners are
available.
