Board of Police Commissioners
August 3, 2016
Chairman Rick Huber called the meeting to order at 4:00 PM in the City of McHenry Council Chambers
with the following Commissioners present: Ramon Gregorio. Absent: and Mike Roberts. Also present:
Chief John Jones, Human Resources Manager Ann Campanella, and Deputy City Clerk Marci Geraghty.
Public Input:
None.
1. Consideration of June 1, 2016 Meeting Minutes
Motion by Gregorio, seconded by Huber to approve the minutes from the June 1, 2016 Police
Commission meeting as presented.
Voting Aye: Gregorio, Huber
Voting Nay: None
Abstaining: None
Not Voting: None
Absent: Roberts
Motion carried.
2. Unfinished Business
Personnel: Chief Jones reported Officer Candidates Dinka Malik and Eve Kulcsar are performing
well at the academy.
Former part-time officer Bryan Wegner completed he academy training on Friday and will be on the
road next week. Chief Jones noted hiring officers with part-time law enforcement experience has
been beneficial to the city.
Chief Jones reported Sgt. Dan Kreassig retired from McHenry Police after 27 years. Chairman
Huber asked if the city has reserved a seat at the next academy training. Chief answered not at this
time as he does not anticipate any officers retiring soon.
Chief Jones reported the construction for the Dispatch Center and Police Administration expansion
will begin in September.

a) The following invoices were presented for payment:

Motion by Gregorio, seconded by Huber to approve payments as presented.

5. Motion to Adjourn
There being no further business to discuss, Gregorio made a motion, seconded by Huber to adjourn
the meeting.

Absent: Roberts
Motion carried.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:10 PM. Next meeting of the Police Commission is September 7, 2016.
