Board of Police Commissioners
June 3, 2015
Chairman Rick Huber called the meeting to order at 4:00 PM in the City of McHenry Aldermen’s
Conference Room with the following persons present: Commissioners Ramon Gregorio and Mike
Roberts, Commander Tom Walsh, and recording secretary Marci Geraghty.
Public Input:
None.
Consideration of May 6, 2015 Minutes
Motion by Mr. Roberts, seconded by Mr. Gregorio to approve the minutes from the May 6, 2015 Police
Commission meeting as presented.
Voting Aye: Gregorio, Roberts, Huber
Voting Nay: None
Abstaining: None
Not Voting: None
Absent: None
Motion carried.
Unfinished Business
Police Sergeant Exams
Commander Walsh reported the sergeants exam notice was posted on March 3rd and the registration
period to take the exam is June 1 through July 15. The written test will be give on September 12; and the
oral interviews portion of the exam will be in October or the first part of November.
Additional SRO Position Update
An updated should be available after the June 15th D-156 Board of Education meeting.
Personnel Updates
Awaiting a decision from the Police Pension Board of Trustees regarding Officer Gandor’s
request for a disability pension.
Background checks have been completed and satisfactory poly/psych results have been received
for candidate Brett Kinney, #1 on the Eligibility list.
MCPOA Golf Outing
The Commissioners agreed to be a hole sponsor for the MCPOA annual golf outing on July 6 th at their
personal expense.
Bills for Approval
None.

There being no further business to discuss, Mr. Gregorio made a motion, seconded by Mr. Roberts to
adjourn the meeting.

Voting Nay: None
Abstaining: None
Not Voting: None
Absent: None
Motion carried.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:32 PM.
Next meeting of the Police Commission is July 1, 2015.
