Vice-Chairman Michael Roberts called the meeting to order at 4:05 PM in the City of McHenry
Aldermen’s Conference Room with the following persons present: Commissioner Ramon Gregorio, Chief
of Police John Jones, Deputy Chief of Police John Birk, and recording secretary Marci Geraghty. Absent:
Chairman Rick Huber.
Public Input:
None.
Consideration of March 4, 2015 Minutes
Motion by Mr. Gregorio, seconded by Vice-Chairman Roberts to approve the minutes from the March 4,
2015 Police Commission meeting as presented.
Voting Aye: Gregorio, Roberts
Voting Nay: None
Absent: Huber
Motion carried.
Unfinished Business
Police Sergeant Exams
Chief Jones will present questions for the interview portion of the Sergeant Exam at the June meeting.
The exam notice was posted on March 3rd. The registration period to take the exam is June 1 through July
15. The written test will be give on September 12; and the oral interviews portion of the exam will be in
October or the first part of November.
Additional SRO Position Update
An updated should be available at the June meeting.
Personnel Updates
Awaiting a decision from the Police Pension Board of Trustees regarding Officer Gandor’s
request for a disability pension.
Background checks have been completed and satisfactory poly/psych results have been received
for candidate Brett Kinney, #1 on the Eligibility list.
Bills for Approval
None.
Motion by Mr. Roberts, seconded by Mr. Gregorio to authorize a payment of $150 to I/O Solutions for
poly/psych exam for candidate Kinney.

Abstaining: None
Absent: None
Motion carried.

There being no further business to discuss, Mr. Roberts made a motion, seconded by Mr. Gregorio to
adjourn the meeting.
