Board of Police Commissioners
September 7, 2022
Police Chairman Sue Meyer called the meeting to order at 2:00 pm in the Police Administration
Conference Room with the following Commissioners present, Mike Roberts and John Jones. Also present
was Chief John Birk and Administrative Assistant Deb Shuett. Absent Deputy Chief Tom Walsh
Public Comment
None.
1. Motion to Approve August 3, 2022 Meeting Report
Motion by Police Chairman Sue Meyer to approve meeting minutes. Police Commission Mike
Roberts and second by John Jones to approve the minutes from the August 3, 2022, meeting.
Police Commission meeting as presented. All ayes, motion carried.
2. Unfinished Business
Personnel Update – Officers Campos and McClure are in step 1 of training. Officer Campos is
training with Officer Klasek. Officer McClure is training with Officer Ducak. Both are doing
well.
3. New Business
In the discussion process with District 15 to bring back the SRO program to the schools. District
15 will bring up the contract at their board meeting and if approved with go before City Council
for approval.
4. Communications
None
Adjournment
Motion by Police Chairman Sue Meyer to adjourn meeting, Police Commission John Jones and
second by Mike Roberts to adjourn the meeting at 2:10 pm. All ayes, motion carried.
