RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF A PROJECT
APPLICATION TO THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
FOR THE ILLINOIS TRANSPORTATION ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM(ITEP)
FOR LOCAL IMPROVEMENTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE ILLINOIS
ROUTE 31 WIDENING AND RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) is accepting applications for the Illinois
Transportation Enhancement Program (ITEP); and
WF�EREAS, ITEP provides funding for community based projects that enhance pedestrian and bicycle
travel as well as provide aesthetic and cultural improvements to transportation infrastructure; and
WI-�EREAS, the City has identified its local improvements such as a multi-use path and street/pedestrian
lighting, for which an application will be submitted to assist with engineering and construction of such
improvements associated with the Illinois Route 31 Widening and Reconstruction Project, which are
eligible for ITEP funding; and
WHEREAS,the deadline for applications if September 30, 2022.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MCHENRY as follows:
SECTION I: City Staff is authorized to submit an Application for local improvements associated
with the Illinois Route 31 Widening and Reconstruction Project.
SECTION II: This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval as provided by law.
SECTION III: All resolutions and parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
