RE: Inland Real Estate Development
RECOMMENDATION: To consider the request for an extension of time to install the
remaining sidewalks at Olde Mill Ponds.
Enclosed is a letter from Matthew Fiascone of Inland Real Estate Development Corporation
requesting an extension of time for the installation of the remaining sidewalks at Olde Mill
Ponds subdivision. The enclosed map depicts where sidewalks are completed. Inland is
proposing to install sidewalks along Olde Mill Lane to provide a complete link through the
subdivision. Approximately three years ago, residents from Green Valley Subdivision
complained to the City Council about unfinished sidewalks. Since then, all requests for
extensions of time have been brought before the City Council.
All other public improvements have been completed including the final surface on the
streets. However, final inspection by the City has not been completed for acceptance of
the public improvements.
If approved by the City Council, this will be the second extension of time. Last year, a one-
year extension was granted. The subdivision is in its third year of development and to date,
no complaints have been received about incomplete sidewalks. Nonetheless, if the City
Council approves the extension of time, sidewalks should be added as indicated in Mr.
Fiascone’s letter.
