Through the contract purchase of the Petersen Farm, the City of McHenry is obligated to maintain the condition of the residence. During the course of installing window screens, it was discovered that the kitchen bay window was in a non-repairable condition. Quotes were sought to replace the bay windows that consist of three separate double hung windows in the bay area. Marshall-Wiedenhoeft $2,260.00 Wm. Tonyan & Sons, Inc. $3,052.00 SH Freund & Son $3,479.00 Because the building is designated as a landmark, Staff applied for, and received a Certificate of Appropriateness from the Landmark Commission on November 3, 1998. The budgeted amount for the window work is $4,000.00. To date, $2,260.00 has been spent for the window screen replacement.
