RE: “DO THE RIGHT THING”
Sgt. William Brogan will present to the City Council the latest recipients of the “DO
THE RIGHT THING” award. As you are aware, April 21, 1999 Stefffan’s Jewelers
experienced a break in at their store on Front Street. Two students from the Fox
Valley Christian School found the stolen jewelry and returned it to its rightful owner.
This night, Pat McConville and Ruben Rodriquez will be honored for “doing the
right thing!”

Subject: Appointment to the Landmark Commission
Currently, there are three vacancies and one Student Member vacancy on the Landmark
Commission.
I intend to appoint Merle E. Janssen as the newest member of the Landmark Commission
at the August 4, 1999 Regular City Council meeting. His application is attached for your
review.
