Lobaito, City Administrator FOR: March 1, 2000 Regular City Council Meeting RE: Resolution Providing for an Amendment to the Boone Creek Venture Subdivision Phase II final Plat At the City Council meeting when the Phase II Final Plat of Boone Creek Venture was approved, the City Council requested that the developer record the fence restrictions on each lot in which the fence restrictions would apply. It is best to put these restrictions in the form of a Resolution for the City Council’s approval. Once approved, the developer will record this document for each effected lot. It is recommended that the City Council approve the attached Resolution. A G E N D A S U P P L E M E N T TO: Mayor and City Council FROM: John A. Lobaito, City Administrator FOR: March 1, 2000 Regular City Council Meeting RE: Engineering Services Agreement – Edgebrook Drainage-Way RECOMMENDATION: To approve the Design Engineering Service Agreement with Baxter & Woodman, Inc. not to exceed $93,000. Attached is a proposal from Baxter & Woodman to prepare a design acceptable to outside agencies and the City for a resolution to the Edgebrook drainage problem. Plans would be consistent with Baxter & Woodman’s previous recommendation for a 25-year storm. The proposed fee for services through bid opening would not exceed $93,000. Not included is surveying services to provide legal descriptions, plats, staking of property lines, etc., including securing easements of right-of-ways. Also not included are any costs for geo-technical investigation, which may or may not be needed. I would suggest the City Council consider reallocating monies budgeted for the Shamrock traffic signal to pay the engineering cost for the design of this project. As discussed at the December 29, 1999 City Council meeting, the following reallocation of this money has already been approved: $190,000 - Budgeted funds (29,000) - Anne St. Drainage Study $161,000 (42,784) - Eng. Design – Route 31/McCullom Lake Rd. Project (50% of design cost – balance to be budgeted FY 2000) $118,216 - Total Available Funds It is recommended to the Mayor and City Council to move forward with this project. It is estimated that this project will cost between $420,000 and $740,000. mmg
