RE: Appointment to Human Relations Commission
The graduation of Student Member Jason Glaw has created a vacancy on the Human
Relations Commission. On August 15, 2000, Chairman Pat Buhrman interviewed two
students for the West Campus Representative.
As a result of those interviews, I intend to appoint Aubrey Coursin as the new Human
Relations Commission student member. Ms. Coursin is a senior at West Campus
High School. A copy of her application is attached. If you have any comments or
objections, please contact me prior t the meeting. I may be reached at my office in
Woodstock, 338.1334 or my home 385.7332.

FOR: August 30, 2000 Regular City Council Meeting
RE: Department Head Performance Appraisals
At the August 2, 2000 Regular City Council meeting, the City Council decided to defer
this matter to the August 30 meeting. As you are aware, the City Administrator
completed Department Head Performance Appraisals the last week in July. Based on
these reviews, the following salary increases are recommended:
Current Salary Recommended Salary %
Director, Public Works $73,747 $76,881 4.25%
Director, Parks & Recreation $62,920 $65,751 4.5%
Director, Community Develop. $55,385 $57,739 4.25%
Chief of Police $73,000 $76,103 4.25%
Attached for the Mayor and City Council’s review are the performance evaluation
forms. Included is a review of last year’s goals/objectives along with this year’s
goals/objectives.
My salary recommendations have not been discussed with the Department Heads,
but we have collectively established their goals for this year.
I am prepared to discuss the evaluations with the City Council and solicit feedback on
the goals for the coming year. If you have any questions please call me.

RE: Update – McCullom Lake Sanitary Sewer Project
Village of McCullom Lake Trustee Doug Youmans will be present to give the City
Council a brief update and to receive questions from the City Council on the progress
of the McCullom Lake Sewer Project.
