RE: Sale of Personal Property
The city is in possession of surplus equipment in the Police Department (mobile data
terminals) that it wishes to sell. By law, the City Council may without advertising,
dispose of personal property by ordinance. The ordinance authorizing the sale of this
equipment is attached for the City Council’s consideration. Additionally, a
memorandum to me from the Chief of Police is included providing more detailed
information on the sale of this equipment.
It is recommended that the City Council approve the ordinance for the sale of the
mobile data terminals as prescribed in the ordinance.
