RE: Year 2001 “For the Children” Fund Raiser
The Year 2001 Hand-Car Race was held at Petersen Park on Sunday, August 19. This
is a national event coordinated and promoted each year by Union Pacific Railroad
employees to raise funds for Children’s Hospitals.
Gary Mang of the Union Pacific Railroad and Chairman of “For the Children” fund
raiser will be present to thank the City of McHenry for its continued support and free
use of Petersen Park for the Annual Hand-Car Races.
