RE: McHenry County Gang Task Force
Recommendation: To authorize the Mayor’s execution of the attached
Intergovernmental Agreement for the McHenry County Gang Task Force.
The city received a request from the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office to renew the
existing intergovernmental agreement for participation in the McHenry County Gang
Task Force. The original agreement was approved by the City Council in 1997.
As members of the task force unit, selected officers from each participating agency
shall provide law enforcement services at municipal and community festivals
throughout McHenry County. The new agreement has been expanded to include
agencies that joined the task force after 1997.
