CONSENT AGENDA
The Consent Agenda for the April 7, 2008 City Council meeting consists of the
following items:
A. Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 07-1359 authorizing execution of a first amendment to
the redevelopment agreement with Curtis Commercial, LLC, pier and boat slip access
easement and, assignment and related closing documents;

RE: Request for Class F1 Liquor License
Recommendation: Request for a Class F1 Liquor License from NVP, Inc. db/a/ Liquor
& Wine Place, 2202 West Route 120 and approval of the attached Ordinance
increasing the number of Class F1 licenses from three to four.
Mahesh M. Patel, President of NVP, Inc. is requesting a liquor license to sell packaged
liquors in his new store located at 2202 West Route 120 in McHenry effective May 1,
2008. The store is located in a retail center east of “A Child’s Place” daycare center
and meets the 100-foot setback as required by ordinance.
Mr. Patel has owned and operated Valley Liquors in Elburn, Illinois for the past seven
years and is conversant with State of Illinois liquor control regulations. Mr. Patel has
been fingerprinted by the McHenry Police Department, paid all associated fees, and
has met with the Mayor.
Recommendation: It is the recommendation of the Mayor to approve the request for
a Class F1 Liquor License from NVP, Inc. d/b/a Liquor &Wine Place pending receipt of
a satisfactory fingerprint report and the condition that all employees involved in the
sale of alcohol are required to obtain BASSET certification.

RE: McHenry Area Youth Commission Summer Program Field Trips
Recommendation: To approve the request made by the McHenry Area Youth
Commission to waive admission and canoe rental fees for the Petersen Park Beach
on July 29 and July 31, 2008.
The McHenry Area Youth Commission (MAYC) has scheduled two field trips to the
Petersen Park Beach this summer and is requesting that the city waive fees for
admission to the beach and canoe rentals. The field trips are scheduled for Tuesday,
July 29 and Thursday, July 31, 2008. Approximately 60 children will be attending on
each day. On July 31, 20 students and 5 staff members will be utilizing canoes.
Requests sent to the City Administrator from Nancy Jakubisin and Megan Miller of
the MAYC and are attached.
AGENDA SUPPLEMENT
