Adjournment Posted and Mailed: May 19, 2005 CONSENT AGENDA The Consent Agenda for the May 23, 2005 City Council meeting consists of the following items: A. Purchase of eight vehicles through State of Illinois Joint Purchase Contract; B. Request for reduction in Letter of Credit No. 185 for Liberty Trails Unit 2; C. Picnic Permit Requests; D. Maxeiner, City Administrator FOR: Regular City Council Meeting RE: Transfer of Class F2-10 Liquor License to JEET Shop N Go, Inc. d/b/a Riverside Shop N Go, 1325 N. Riverside Drive, McHenry Mayor Low received notice from the owners of Riverside Shop N Go that they are selling the business, located at 1325 North Riverside Drive, to Ajit and Yamini Patel and request a transfer of the Class F2-10 liquor license. A class F2 licenses permits the retail sale of alcoholic beverages in packages only, where more than 50% of the sales area is devoted to goods and commodities other than alcoholic beverages. Mr. & Mrs. Patel have submitted all the required paperwork; were fingerprinted by the McHenry Police Department; and, met with the Mayor. In addition, the new owners will attend BASSETT training through the City of McHenry. Recommendation: It is the Mayor’s recommendation to approve the request to transfer the Class F2-10 liquor license to Ajit and Yamini Patel of JEET Shop N Go, Inc. d/b/a Riverside Shop N Go subject to satisfactory fingerprint results. In addition, all employees involved in the sale of alcohol at the store will attend BASSETT training.
